The original Naturehike Cloud Up 2 is a clone of the Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 tent.
It has some drawbacks however:
- The 'Y' pole design is not freestanding and requires guylines for stability
- The rainfly can contact the inner when it's windy, reducing inner space and transmitting moisture between the walls
- The single pole at the rear of the tent reduces vertical space
- Condensation problems may occur due to the lack of a vent
The Upgraded Cloud Up 2 tent addresses these issues:
- A double 'Y' pole design (with additional hub) makes the tent freestanding, helping prevent the sidewalls contacting and adding vertical space at the rear of the tent
- An adjustable rear vent increases airflow and helps prevent condensation
- Extra mid-panel guy points are added at the sides
- Improved double hook clips are used (for attaching the inner to the poles)
Otherwise, it remains very similar to the original Cloud Up 2 design (dimensions, materials, packed size).
Cons
- 140g heavier than the 20D Cloud Up 2
- Only available in 20D Sil-Nylon (not available in 210T polyester)
- Red / Grey colour only
- ~$20 USD more expensive than 20D Cloud Up 2
- No snow skirt option
