Why use a balaclava?
- Keeping your head warm is important to retain warmth in colder temperatures
- Quilts and sleeping bags sometimes lack in-built hoods
- A separate hood lets you rotate your sleeping bag to sleep comfortably on your side
This Aegismax down balaclava is:
- Light (~70g) and compressible (the size of a coke can)
- Effective at keeping your ears and neck warm - the neck and face openings cinch closed
- Large enough to comfortably enclose most heads
- Able to be combined with outerwear (e.g. hoodless down jacket underneath or rain hood over top). Also fits over hoods and hats (e.g. hooded jumpers)
