The Aegismax Nano 2 Long is an affordable, relatively lightweight hoodless mummy sleeping bag for temperatures down to 0C.
It is a 2018 update of the Aegismax "Mini" M2 Long hoodless mummy bag.
This bag now:
- Has box baffles throughout
- Has 60% / 40% (top/bottom) differential fill, with side block baffles that prevent down migration
- Usable down to 0C (rather than 2C)
- Has 20g less down fill
- Is 60g heavier overall
It is essentially a hoodless, 20D version of the Aegismax G1 Long bag that costs ~$20 USD less.
Specifications:
- 200 x 86cm
- 742g (400g 800FP 95% white goose down)
- Blue 20D nylon outer (DWR) and inner
- Down-filled draft tube that runs alongside the zipper
- Shaped 3D footbox
- Velcro folding tab at neck
- Right side zip (with 2 YKK #5 zippers)
Pros
- Usable down to 0C
- Might better suit side sleepers / those who feel constricted inside a mummy bag hood
- More modular than a hooded bag - e.g. boost with a hooded jacket, beanie, down hat, etc in cooler conditions or omit if not
- Left (M) and right (L) zipper versions can join together to create a single, larger bag
- Included storage and compression bags
Cons
- Not a winter bag - a fully hooded design like the G1 might be better if expecting consistently colder conditions
- 20D nylon is not as breathable as 15D
- An envelope bag may be even more flexible
- Only a blue colour
Contents
- Sleeping Bag
- Compression stuffsack
- Storage sack
