The Toaks Siphon titanium alcohol stove is a Capillary Hoop Stove (CHS) similar to the tetkoba DIY stove (e.g. easy Capillary Hoop Alcohol Stove).

How a CHS stove works:

Fuel alcohol is drawn through a thin double wall to the rim via capillary action
Fuel accumulates near the rim (hoop) and then vaporizes
Flames jet through small holes in the rim

Pros

Extremely lightweight
Blooms very quickly (~3 seconds)
Functional in colder weather
Superior to cheaper non-wicking titanium Trangia clones that require ~3 mins to bloom
No internal wick, making it easy to fully clean for air travel
Doesn't look like a stove (could be mistaken for a cup) - also good when flying
The only commercial titanium CHS available
Includes storage bag

Cons

No screw lid to prevent leakage of unused alcohol
No simmer ring - thus mainly good for boiling water
Need level platform for operation
Might be a bit deep to easily get a lighter into - perhaps use this tip
Can't rest pot directly on it - needs a stand. Toaks offer a version made from stainless steel wire or you can purchase a stand like the ArgosTitanium or Bushbox clone
