These Greenhermit drysacks are made from lightweight and tough 30D Sil-Nylon "Cordura" fabric.


You close them by folding a stiff band at the top over itself a few times and then clipping the ends into each other. This makes the bag reasonably airtight and watertight (except for full immersion).

The clipped closure strap forms a loop that serves as a carry handle or can be clipped to a pack.


A drysack has many uses:
  • Protects backpack contents from rain/water (e.g. electronics, food, etc)
  • Prevents bugs getting into your food
  • Isolates items that cause a mess when spilled (e.g. honey/oil/toothpaste)
  • Separates goods. You might have a clothing bag, sleeping gear bag, dirty clothes/garbage bag, etc 
  • Somewhere to put items when they are outside your pack
